ABOUT SAWBILL VILLAGE

Sawbill Village is a multi-use development that will have affordable housing for Cook County residents and retail space available for lease.

The 2.2-acre site is in a highly desirable location on Highway 61 in Tofte, MN. Construction will take place through 2022, and the building is projected to open in 2023.

Residents will enjoy the proximity to Tofte Park, Lake Superior, the Gitchi Gami State Trail, and being close to work, the elementary school, the bank, post office, outdoor activities, restaurants, etc.

Retail owners will be supported by the thriving tourism industry in Tofte and the North Shore. Despite being well-established with resorts and rental properties, the West End of Cook County is underdeveloped in supportive businesses like shops and restaurants.

With an occupancy rate >90% occupancy during the high season, this shortage of restaurants, retail stores, and affordable living accommodations is a key problem for the West End. It is also a huge gap for the 1-million+ visitors who travel through Tofte.

With its multi-use retail offering, Sawbill Village is strategically located for success in the heart of Tofte, MN.
